The MX RAY MF-1 headphones feature our MXB 50mm Beryllium-coated driver, designed in-house, and individually tested. Leveraging TTS tuning and construction in the MF-1, they offer rich sound, emphasizing deep bass, clear vocals, and crisp high notes. The MF-1 works efficiently with low-power devices due to its low impedance and covers a wide frequency range (4Hz to 23kHz). Weighing 320 grams, they ensure comfort with soft ear cushions. The included 5ft cable is a premium offering and tangle-resistant.
Each MF-1 comes with all the accessories you need to have the best experience:
- Carrying case
- 16-core 4.4mm -> 2x3.5mm audio cable
- 4.4mm to 3.5mm adapter
- 3.5mm to 6.5mm adapter
- FiiO KA13 USB-C DAC/amp
- USB-C to USB-C cable
- USB-C to Lightning cable
- USB-C to USB-A adapter
- Repair kit (contains all tools needed to disassemble and reassemble)
- Driver tuning kit (instructions provided)
The headphones integrate dual 3.5mm audiophile-grade terminals alongside QDC interface points. These terminals accommodate a spectrum of dual 3.5mm-terminated cables, facilitating connections to balanced 4 pin XLR, 1/4" (6.2mm), 2.5mm, 4.4mm Pentaconn, and single-ended 1/8" (3.5mm) interfaces. The QDC interface extends compatibility to an array of Bluetooth peripherals and a multitude of specialized QDC cables encompassing both game-centric microphone-equipped variants and audiophile-grade, balanced or single-ended iterations.
The MF-1 is equipped with a precision-engineered tuning port, encompassing 6 micro vent apertures and a modifiable flap mechanism. This allows for 3 primary acoustic configurations: Open, Mid-Range, and Closed. While the MF-1 is pre-fitted with a 135mm ear-pad set, prioritizing an immersive experience, supplementary ear-pads of 125mm and 115mm dimensions are available, facilitating two additional granular tuning phases for a more precision-driven acoustic experience.
The included repair kit provides all the tools necessary to completely disassemble the MF-1 for service or modifications. The driver tuning kit allows four different levels of tuning: 0 (remove the filter), 1 (default configuration), 2 (replace the default filter with included #2 filter), or 3 (add the #2 filter on top of the pre-applied #1 filter). Plenty of extras are included to encourage experimentation. Fewer filters will increase the bass response at the expense of the accuracy of the sound signature, while more filters will reduce the bass response. Our factory configuration is optimized for the best balance.
